Who we are
We come from families of farmers (Massaios in Sardinian) with an olive and wine-growing tradition that has been handed down for generations, from the ancestors of our great-grandparents Juanniccu Marongiu (Giovanni) and Impera Fois (Pietro). His maternal grandfather, Battista Pili, opened the first family oil mill in Elini in the 1950s. Since the 1980s it was my father, Giuseppe Fois, who expanded the farms, acquiring land and grafting wild olive trees that grow spontaneously in the Sardinian Mediterranean scrub;
I learned from him the knowledge of agronomic processes and techniques, grafting, pruning, harvesting, transformation of Ogliastrine olives into oil in the family oil mill.
Olive oil
Perelinu oil is harmonious, with a fruity green olive taste of medium intensity, bitter and spicy, with pleasant hints of grass, artichoke - thistle and chicory.
